Tucked away on a quiet cul-de-sac in a residential neighborhood in Escazu, San Jose, is a home-away-from-home in beautiful Costa Rica.
Chef Michael Forbes' bed-and-breakfast hotel is a clean, comfortable and quiet place to stay, with reasonable rates. Big Mike started building a private dining club, and added guest rooms with cable TV. His delightful bohemian compound is a work in progress. Plants, gardens, unusual pieces of furniture, artwork and collectables add homey touches... all perched above a river.
