Mission Statement:

To act as an international liaison for Michigan State University to enhance and nurture alumni involvement and relations for those living in Costa Rica.

Vision Statement:

We assist fellow alumni and friends of Michigan State University at a grassroots level through opportunities of networking and social interaction while abroad in Costa Rica.

Activities:

Through its activities, the MSU International Alumni Club of Costa Rica strives to capitalize on the strengths of the unique relationships with our alumni and friends so we can collaboratively achieve a common goal to effectively:

• Promote a positive image of MSU and the MSU Alumni Association.
• Watch for and identify MSU alumni that may live in or visit the country of Costa Rica.
• Provide a linkage between Michigan State University and its former students and friends at an international level.
• Provide opportunities for area alumni to meet and participate in social gatherings and cultural events.
• Provide networking opportunities for MSU international alumni and friends within Costa Rica.
• Provide helpful information regarding resources available in Costa Rica be it for living here or vacationing here.
• Provide an opportunity for MSU alumni to receive information about their alma mater.
• Help alumni to sustain an emotional bond with their alma mater.
• Enhance the image of Michigan State University and its alumni.
• Assist the University's need for international internship opportunities, job openings, and study abroad experiences for MSU international and domestic students seeking overseas assignments.
• Provide the MSU Alumni Association with correct addresses, fax numbers, and email addresses for MSU alumni and friends.
